It's been a long while since I put out material for Reign of Discordia/IZ/Blood throne, etc.. but that will change. To be quite honest, I experienced some hard core True20 development burnout towards the end of last year. Putting out 3 setting books in a single year, plus a number of smaller support products was both expensive, and exhausting. I've shifted gears somewhat to keep both my sanity and desire to continue publishing great material for gamers such as yourselves. Reign of Discordia is the first thing I'm going to tackle after I get a couple of books out of the way (one of which is a Blood Throne conversion to the MRQ system I've been wanting to do for some time). There will be at least 3 supplements released over an as of yet undetermined period of time, plus Darrin and I are also talking about a series of novels set in the Reign of Discordia universe! I haven't talked much with the writers of Interface zero lately, but I do want to do more supplements for that. As the creator of Blood Throne, I'm always interested in doing more for that world... I never seem to find the time though. We'll see what else I can cook up for fans of that setting this year. I'm not sure if I'll continue to do Supplements for Shadows of Cthulhu or not. If the interest is there ( and Chaosium still wants to let me use the license), I likely will, but I won't compromise quality just to put a book out fast. Shadows wasn't cheap to release, and, while I'm pleased with sales, I won't commit to putting another one out until I have a better idea of what returns I can expect to see. By the Way, you should expect to see Shadows of Cthulhu in game stores this month! We're releasing under Mongoose Publishing's Flaming Cobra imprint, so that's great news for fans of the pdf. I have to touch base with Matt Sprange, but I believe there will be copies available at GAMA trade show if you are planning on attending. Anyhow, as far as I'm concerned, true20 isn't dead, it's just taking a much needed nap.
Thank you for the update. I can imagine putting 3 books out that fast would course some burn out. Thank you for the great products. While I have not picked up reign yet I plan to. I got shadows just before my group took a break and have not had a chance to put to much use, yet. I would love to see more interface zero, Always had a soft spot for cyberpunk. I just got technothrillers a few weeks ago very happy with the purchase. Thanks for all your hard work!

I've been making excellent progress lately on the True20 and d20 web enhancements for Cults of Freeport, so hopefully they will finally see the light of day sometime this summer! Then I'll be starting in on doing the same for Buccaneers.

Speaking for myself, when True20 first came out, I put my fingers to the keyboard and did my best to contribute to the material available for this great game. I contributed to some major releases (The core book, the revised edition, True20 Companion, True20 Expert's Handbook, Blighted Bestiary, Book of Bones). I wrote a few books (True20 Adepts Handbook, True20 Warriors Handbook, True20 Bestiary). I even did True20 editions of a few quality settings from other game systems (Roma Imperious True20, Colonial Gothic True20). Recently I have shifted a lot of time and energy to other projects (Warriors & Warlocks, parenting my two minions and my Masters Thesis). However, I still have some True20 goodness coming down the pipe at all of you True20 fans. Upcoming releases include the True20 Ancients line and Agents of Oblivion. Beyond that there are more things brewing for True20 that I cannot disclose just yet. So no, true20 is far from dead in my book. Some of its initial momentum may have subsided a bit, particularly after the release of D&D 4e shook the whole industry, but now the dust has settled and True20 remains unbowed, unbent and unbroken. I am right now doing layout and arranging final details for the second DINO-PIRATES OF NINJA ISLAND adventure: MONKEY WARRIORS OF THE WALKING SWORDDINO-PIRATES is its own system, based on True20 but with a number of changes, but the adventure will be playable with straight True20 rules if you like. Also, monkeys, robots, dinosaurs, ninjas and pirates. Guaranteed. Just like EVERY DPoNI adventure.

That sounds like a friend of mine that auditioned for a band and got accept but 5 minutes later when they found out he had a girlfriend they told him it was either her or the band - no girlfriends allowed.
Back to True 20, I almost got in a group but really only the DM and I had any experience with it. He had some personal things come up and by the time he got back to me I was already in a group playing Pathfinder (which would be my second choice system). Still looking forward to running a game in the campaign setting that I've been working on. So if anyone's in the St. Pete area (Florida not Russia) drop me a line.
That makes me think, is there a "Get connected with other True 20 Players" thread around here? If not there should be.

A play by post forum is what true20 needs, I think. An entire series of forums, maybe even a separate site, devoted to playing True20 by post. If anyone else likes this idea, perhaps it could be done? Isn't there a ton of free forum sites out there? Anyone else interested, contact me - this is an idea I want to go ahead and expand on :3

Seems like it would fit find in the campaign journals section. I don't think there's a big enough audience to need a new site. I occasionally play on rpol.net, they have 1000's of games going on but I don't think any are True 20. When I ran Blue Rose there I had a bunch of people say they were really interested in the the system. Unfortunately (as is common with PBP) most of them ended up dropping out of existence after a couple weeks. I'm definitely going to suggest a "looking for True 20 players" board though.

PbP house has a fairly strong True20 presence.
so does Groovygamers, though that tends to cater moer to an M&M crowd.

URLs on those boards, iWatt?
Also, any board with an MnM presence is bound to have some true20 presence, as the systems are, rfo the most part siblings for different power levels

I've submitted my drafts for Cults. How soon they get published will depend on how packed GR's editing and layout schedule is right now, because this isn't part of the regular new release queue.

Wow! on rpgnow.com true20 core book is platinum and revised is now silver already. Sounds very alive.
Isn't the usual assumption that most companies sell 3 print to each PDF?

How alive are these forums? I don't see many people on here anymore.
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being hardly at all and 10 being almost all the time; how would you rate how much time you spend on these boards?
Has the lack of new True20 Products from Green Ronin affected how much time you spend here?
To answer my own questions, I'd say in terms of spending time on these boards I rate in the 5-6 range. I check in several times a day, sometimes post, but unless something catches my eye, I usually don't stay more than about 10 or 15 minutes at a time.
As for the lack of new products, I would say that yes it probably has affected how much time I spend here. Aside from the various threads about improving this or that aspect of True20, there really isn't much new stuff to discuss. It would be nice if Green Ronin would drop a hint or two about any new True20 products coming down the pipe; however, I haven't received a reply from them to the message I sent several weeks ago, so I'm as lost as anyone else.

The Narrative project brought new life to my visiting these boards (6-7 on your scale). Also, me sagafying my rue20 system and cerating my own powers system revitalized my interetst in the game. But I would enjoy some new products coming out

I've been working on a True 20 book for over 2 years now. I started before 4th edition was out but after it was announced. I didn't want to wait for 4th edition and I didn't want to develope in a system I wasn't that familiar with. Plus I loved True 20. But then life got crazy and my divorce wiped out a good 8 months of my life so now I'm here with a book 80% finished and now sure if I even want to bother publishing it as True 20. Thinking about instead moving over to Pathfinder, not because I like it better but because I'd actually like to sell a couple copies and I'm not sure if that's possible in the True 20 anymore.
The only reason I come to the boards anymore is if I get a notification on a topic or to ask a technical question. Other than that maybe once a month I pop in to see if anyone is posting.
