For most people, the world appears to be a relatively safe place, filled with the usual problems associated with day to day living. There are no monsters beneath the bed, nothing waiting in the darkness...
But for others, there is the maddening truth; unimaginable horrors lurk in dark places beyond the world we know, horrific things who regard humanity as little more than cattle; insignificant creatures to be used and cast aside at their whim. Ever watchful, they seek to pry open the gates to this realm, to reclaim that which was once theirs.
Some so-called enlightened individuals choose travel the dark paths, seeking to gain knowledge never intended for human eyes, seeking arcane tomes and malefic artifacts in hopes of knowing the unknowable, even at the cost of their sanity. Indeed, at the cost of their very lives.
For you, the choice is clear, the imperative undeniable. Seek out that which should not be. Stand ever vigilant against the horrors lurking in the dark. Walk in the shadows of Cthulhu, and perhaps, if you're lucky, you may survive, may even make a difference, though the cost might be more than you’re prepared to pay…
Shadows of Cthulhu makes use of the elegant True20 game system, providing you with everything you need to run a campaign series in deliciously maddening the world inspired by the works of H.P Lovecraft!
Inside you will find:
New Heroic roles
Sample heroes ready to play out of the box
New Backgrounds
Mythos Feats, skills and Powers
New uses for existing skills
Guidelines for Narrating a Shadows of Cthulhu campaign series
Rules for Insanity
Rules for Mythos Traits
Mythos creatures
And much more!

Will there be a print version? If so, when?

There will be a print version, but not until the 1st quarter of 2009.
I can't give a specific date yet, because I don't know.

At the risk of sounding like a cheap bastige...for one of your products, purchase of the pdf made you eligible for a reduced price on the hard copy...is this a company policy, or was it just an exception for that product?

I'm able to do that for IZ (sort of), but I've just signed contracts with a larger publishing company which will be getting Shadows of Cthulhu (and possibly my older products) into worldwide distribution. But that'll prevent me from selling direct, so I won't be able to offer a discount.
Sorry.

I guess I'll have to get both (download and print) then, what with having no willpower and all. Any word on when the Victorian Era and Sumerian PDFs will be out?
Sorry to be a bother but I'm really, really looking forward to these two books.

I have the manuscript for the Elizabethian book, but I need to get it dual-statted for the Basic Roleplay System, then it goes into the second stage of development. It's definitely worth the wait, however.
Ancient Sumer is slated to begin development soon. I just have to talk with the writers.
Thanks a ton for your interest!

Just to let everyone know,
I've just uploaded a minor update, which includes a map for Dunwich and a character sheet, so If you picked up this great book, then go back and download it again, for the most update version.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
