2008 is almost here, and hopefully reams of quality True20 goodness will tumble upon us.
Wether realistic or unrealistic, if you could pick out a project (feasible or dream) to be released this year, what would it be?
For me it would be the True20 version of Fantasy Hero. I think a giant tome of fantasy goodness geared towards True20 would be just awesome. I was never HERO player (never liked the level of complication), but I was always amazed and jealous of their massive world building tomes like Fantasy Hero, Star Hero, etc. I would love to see something like this done for True20. Heck I would even be happy with a Fantasy Hero conversion to True20 mechanics, keeping all the world building goodness and applying True 20 to it. Alll the world building and Fantasy True20 options in one magnificent tome.
I think that if people could see the full application of True20 to something Fantasy, it also might help the game (popularity wise) as well. Might make it more accessible to people unfamiliar with it.
If I could, that is what I would have. the companion was just the taste. I want the whole darned happy meal now.
And for 2008, the same for Sci Fi.
How about you?

1. The Adepts Handbook
2. True20 Omnibus (containing everything from True20 Adventure Roleplaying [minus the campaign info], The True20 Bestiary, and the True20 Companion.)
3. True20 Adventure Path that takes characters from 1st level through 20th level.
4. 2nd Edition of Blue Rose
5. True20 Spells (conversions of spells from d20)

Something with my name on it, in more than just a proofreading capacity.
Hey, what can I say? That's what I want. How to do that while raising two young hobbits is the big question...

My wish-list is thus:
T20 Omnibus (a cool idea as mentioned above)
Printer-friendly (or text/table only) PDF's for all GR's PDF material
T20 Roma Imperious in print (I like to wish for obtainable things too)
More discussion of the path and background concepts either here on the boards or in released material. I love the way these ideas add flavor AND bridge this system for those of us who come to gaming from much more structured environments.
Maybe more uniformity (or a discussion of how to reach greater uniformity) of the adept powers.
A chance to really play a T20 game (and the time for it as well while I'm wishing)
If I've wished for something that already exists out of ignorance, simply point me towards it and I'd be indebted.

A typo-free hardback core rule-book without the campaign samples. And the powers rules and ranks and bonuses should be streamlined. Instead of campaigns, more examples, like example poisons and drugs and a more extensive equipment list.
Green 20-siders that match the green from the book.

I would like a Revised Core Rulebook as well - w/ or w/o settings I'm not to particular on, BUT however I am particular on the poor print run quality. So I would like to see an almost deluxe version from the state it is now. Basically it would be nice to have a thicker point glossy paper and binding that won't begin falling apart in 12 months.
Also due to the same print run issue with all True20 products right now I would like pdf back ups of all True20 products I got in print + extras in pdf. I currently only have the campaign planner and the cybernetics pdfs, though I used to have the true20 core in pdf until my last computer went dead and my cd backup vanished...
Oh, and I also would like to see the other role handbook pdfs as well; especially the adept's handbook.
Unrealistic requests would likely be print versions of True Eberron, True Testament, and True Ptolus.

The number one thing that I would like to see hit Jan 1, 2008 (we're wishing here, right??) is Tue Vehicles. The complete and easy-to-use companion to using vehicles of all types. That's really my biggest problem with T20 as it stands--vehicle rules are very sketchy at best ^_^;;
Other than that, T20 4.0: Revised and Even Cooler...to be available on the same day as D&D 4E.......ahh, the powers of wishful thinking.

And D&D and d20 Modern's were annoyingly clunky...yeah, I'd love to see something far more elegant than that for True20. Actually, I've seen very few RPGs (or supplements) with vehicles rules that made me go, "I really like these, I gotta use 'em," so if True20 could do that, I might actually run some games that made heavy use of those rules rather than avoiding the need for them.

Yes, that would be absolutely wonderful.
So my wish list: More True20 Darwin's World conversions to help fuel my campaign. True, it's not that difficult to do the D20 conversions to begin with, but a fully compatible True20 book would be helpful. This is something RPG Objects will have to do though, so listing it here is a little pointless.
I'd like to see a space opera setting that's a little more traditional than Lux Aerternum. I was going to work on one with someone I met here on the boards, but I just haven't had the time to do it. Besides, I have more or less retired from RPG writing after deciding to take the plunge into fiction writing.
I'd also like to see people turn to True20 instead of 4th edition. Based on what I've seen of 4th edition so far, it doesn't look wonderful to me and True20 has all the streamlining and refinements I would make to the d20 system myself if I were in charge of designing a new edition.

Realistic: Epic True20 - how to deal with characters and NPCs above level 20.
Not as Realistic: True Superlink - allowing for a M+M friendly point creation system, as well as the ability to make heroes which are scaled to True20 levels. Steve once mentioned that the two were not designed to play well together, and that the point break down by the Shadow is probably the best bet for realizing this. Others like Malthusian and myself have ideas on how this should work, and I have my own reference sheet but boy would it be nice to have it as a softbound book.
True20 Omnibus - Yes! I like this idea as well. Take the three books I reference most and combine them.
Realistic - A Narrator's Screen with a DAMAGE TRACK - because I really shouldn't have to be taping stuff over the Concealing Weapons and Objects table.
Generic Minis to use on a Damage Track wheel similar to HeroClix - or just the wheel. Make like some sort of revolving Damage Track doohickey that can be packaged in groups of 3 or 5 or something, so that each player can use one to keep track of their Conditions. Heck a cardboard wheel with clear plastic sliders that slide over the condition would work in a pinch.
Crunch Free settings books with True20 Rules companions - we have Freeport, so my not Hamumaptra or Naranjan or any of the others from Mystic Vistas?
A licensed Intellectual Property as a True20 setting - M+M is getting Wild Cards. Maybe a sci-fi setting like Larry Niven's Known Space or Asimov's Robot/Galactic Empire/Foundation, or indulging my desire for fanwank a modern game like X-Files would work quite nicely with the system.

I'd love to see this too, although I'd prefer a big book o' epic feats which could be slotted into campaigns of any level. I'm thinking of characters who can do the stuff stuff that you see in the Exalted RPG, or the God of War and Onimusha video games.

More rule books penned by Steve Kenson ... #1 on my list!
Less people doodling on the Mona Lisa.

In my opinion epic rules are simply overpowered. I re-wrote the standard d20 epic rules for my group so that the power progression actually slows down from one level to the next. In other words, I treat level 20 as a bit of a plateau, but then I run more of a role-playing group than a roll-playing group anyway. At that level characters are so powerful that amping the power level just makes things more difficult for the GM to prepare while providing very little extra enjoyment for the players.

Hot Pursuit True20
True20 Ninjas
DINO-PIRATES OF NINJA ISLAND: A TRUE20 SETTING
No promises, but it would be great to get all those out.

I want all three of those (more Ninjas and DPNI than Hot Pursuit True20, since I have the D20 version of Hot Pursuit and can wing the conversion). I'm willing to proof again if that'd help.
If that's pure logic I'll take vanilla.
