The Black Odyssey - Character Creation and more

Hello gamers!

I'm going to begin running an open game (open to all), and I'm going to hammer out some of the details here. This story is going to be sci-fi with normal/strong presence of powers. As far as I know right now, any power outside of void shaping or aether? shaping is fair game. But if you make a compelling argument for it, we'll see.

For "out of character" comments and post, we'll do block quotes [like this]. And for any postings that are personally for a specific player, I'll simply private message them the info or whatnot.

An open invitation, come a prepare a character concept. I'll post later on, because I believe there will be some different races as well.

Hmmm. Sounds like the setting isn't worked out yet? I'm getting a kind of pulpy lightsaber-and-sorcery vibe... Like Conan meets the Grey Mouser IN SPACE! :)

Okay if I create a character with that in mind? I've got one for a never-started swords-and sorcery True20 game that should be possible to sci-fize.

Also, is role-creation from the Companion on the table?

Yeah...you can think of it as sort of a light saber/sorcery deal. That won't be a problem. It's starting at level 1. I don't have companion, but if you're able to show me what you do with your character build, I don't forsee having a problem with it.

And you are also correct that the setting isn't hashed out yet. I apologize. If I'm actually going to run this thing, I need to be able to make time for it. I'm not cancelling the game, but preperation has slowed considerably.
