Oops - one more question:

Is there a separate forum for RDP products, or is Green Ronin okay with us using this for all my goofy questions?

I'm thinking of including the Psychic role, probably developed by the Chinese.

Have you yourself ever integrated powers a la Shadowrun, and was it a big problem?

Sorry for all the questions...if it's any consolation I'm currently operating at a rate of about one purchase of a RDP product for every three questions answered ;)

Hiya, I'm glad you're liking it so far. :) And thanks so much for your support!

When conceptualizing IZ, we did make a conscious decision to avoid Magic. It was simply something we wanted to leave as an option for people. Subconsciously it was probably so as to avoid a Shadowrun-style game as much as can be possible in a cyberpunk game.

That said, there's nothing saying you can't play an adept.. nothing at all. You won't break anything by doing so... so go for it, if that's what lights your fires! :)

I don't necessarily believe it's a bad thing for you to throw "fireballs" in the virtual world. If you want to play something similar to an Otaku, and have your programs look like fireballs, by all means, do so.

Keep in mind, it's your game, play it the way you want to play it. Besides having a great setting, IZ is filled with rules you can use to create your own game.

Have a blast doing so.

That's something we've been thinking about expanding on.. Psychics.

Not much discussion has been given to the subject yet, but I think it'd be alot of fun.

Yes, that was a question I wanted to ask (that is, if there were suggestions in the book to adapt adepts to the setting).

The book is awesome, by the way. You did a great job creating a good cyberpunk setting and creating different rules from d20 Cyberscape (which I also love).

All that's missing is info on what happened to Chile... :D

We were the Saltpeter supplier of the world. Now we're the copper supplier of the world. We're going to be supplying something in the future.

You're from Chile? Awesome!

Good points on Chile, BTW.

Sounds like Fodder for an I-Zine. :)

Hybrids?

Postby Brutorz Bill » Thu Aug 28, 2008 1:14 pm

I don't have the rules yet (waiting on Print copy) so forgive my limited knowledge. I was wondering if there are plans to expand the Hybrids?
Can one run a "Dark Angelesque" Campaign or a Genetech (d20 Modern) style Campaign with the rules as written? I'm a big fan of Moreaus, Mutants and such.
THanks,
Bill

I'm not too familiar with the genetech campaign in Future, I sort of glossed over that in favor of the mutations and such.

As for Dark Angel. I own both seasons on DVD :) Awesome stuff. I hate FOX television for canceling it.

You can very easily run that type of game with the rules as is.

I loved the series also. I too thought it was really low-down that they cancelled it.
If I can run a Dark Angelish Campaign featuring Gene-spliced animal types as PC's and NPC's I'm sold!
Thanks!

Dang, sorry for missing this question.

Hopefully we'll have some dedicated forums on the reality deviant website soon. The Administrator is supposed to code them, though I can't speak for any time frame.

Thus far, Green Ronin has been very, extremely cool with letting publishers talk about the varius products that have gone onto publication.

Of course, if it ever gets to the point that they say "Dave, STOP," I have no problems what-so-ever with complying.

I loved the August issue of the I-Zine. Can't wait for this month's issue. Can you tell us about it, please?
