I think you could probably do something very similar to Battle Angel Alita and set it in the So-cal free zone.
Many combat cyborgs who found themselves out of work (or simply went awol) after the second civil war ended can be found in the free zone, where they aren't under intense scrutiny from sector police in free cities or nation-states.
Because that sector is basically nothing but ruins, it would be a great representation of the junkyard. Take a bit of creative license and build a hovering metropolis - say hovering over the island of Los Angeles and you're well on your way.

Speaking of Ursala...
During the character creation example on pg 29 it states that as a Hybrid, Ursala gets 6 Upgrade Points and the points are spent as such (both there and in her full character writeup on pg 45-46).
However, under the Hybrid Background on pg 31 it states that a Hybrid gets 9 Upgrade Points to spend on bio-modifications.
Which is correct?

I'll look into this, find out which is correct and get you an answer asap, though I'm inclined to think that the background should be 6 instead of nine. It might just be a typo.
Thanks for pointing this out to me.

It's 9 upgrade points.
We're collecting all the errata, and will update Ursula accordingly.
Thanks again.

Will you have any option in place, like those found at IPR, for buying PDF + print as a (nicely priced) bundle? Or a discount for either one if you buy the other?
Otherwise, I'll probably just wait for the print version... depending on how long a wait that will be.

The printed book isn't ready yet, but I hope it will be soon.
When it is, You'll be able to grab the Print version and get the PDF for free If you buy the PDF at my website. I sell all my pdfs directly now.
www.realitydeviants.net
If you buy the pdf first, you'll also be able to "upgrade" to a print version at the difference between the cost of the PDF and the cost of the Print.
So buying Interface Zero as a pdf for 13.95 means that you'll be able to get the Print book for 11 bucks at my website, when it becomes available.
IF you're reading this and you have already bought interface Zero, you'll get the same deal on the print book, you just have to show the administrator some proof of purchase, like a confirmation email from the place you bought the pdf.

Awesome I would love a print copy of this product, yeah only reason i bought from RPGnow is because the RPGobjects checkout blew up on me trying to use paypal and i realy wanted the product asap.
I just finished reading the PDF, it was awesome. One issue i had, in virtual combat can you kill a living creature. I think the book says just knock them out.
Some Anime to help understand Hyper Reality.
The world network overlay is just like The Anime - Dennō Coil but the tech is less advanced, VR glasses are still the norm. also they have VRTs
- also virtual combat across PIPES
the anime Real_Drive - For TAP and Ghosting. The cyberbrain is just like the TAP. - Same writer from ghost in the shell

Yeah, we're doing a supplement dealing with the "effects of a violent Derezz" which should help you handle what happens in virtual combat better.
I'm glad you like the book though, oh, welcome to the forums

We're doing the bulk of our supplements in a small format called the "I-Zine." These will be small products which present an adventure, or new weapons, gear, hacking rules, npcs, locations... basically anything we can throw together in a specific theme that will give you some really great information about the world of 2088, without breaking your bank.
Small supplements like this mean that we can put out great material much faster than a book the size of Interface Zero. As we put out more, we'll also be compiling the material into thematic "dead tree" books and selling those as well.
That doesn't mean we won't do Larger books. Indeed, Matt Conklin will be writing New Brazillia, a full length sourcebook for the South American region. But one thing I've learned with product support, is that small products can really support a line much better than going months and months between releasing large books.
Our first supplement is an adventure "Message in a Bottle," which I hope to be releasing next week. Matt's supposed to be getting me the manuscript for the second supplement at the end of this week, and that will go into development soon after.

This is my next buy. I'm a huge Cyberpunk fan.
