Hello.
I was curious if someone would be willing to take a stab at converting the following race from ther SRD to a True20 background. I am still getting my legs on True20 and seeing someone else do it helps me. Thank you kindly.
Here it is:
BUGBEAR
Size: Medium. Bugbears have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Ability Modifiers: +4 Strength, +2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution, –2 Charisma.
Extra Starting Hit Dice: A bugbear gains 3 Hit Dice (3d8 hit points). The bugbears’s Constitution modifier applies to each Hit Die when determining hit points.
Base Speed: 30 feet.
Natural Armor Bonus: Bugbears have tough hides and gain a +3 natural armor bonus to Defense.
Attack Bonus: Bugbears gain a +2 species bonus on attack rolls.
Darkvision: Bugbears can see in the dark up to 60 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and bugbears can function with no light at all.
Scent: Bugbears may use their keen sense of smell to detect approaching enemies, sniff out hidden foes, and track by sense of smell.
Allegiance: Bugbears must begin play with an allegiance to chaos, evil, or both.
Skill Bonus: Bugbears gain a +4 species bonus on Move Silently checks.
Bonus Feat: Bugbears gain the bonus feat Simple Weapons Proficiency.
Free Language Skills: Read/Write Goblin (or local language), Speak Goblin (or local language).
Other Languages: Giant, Gnoll, Orc, Undertongue.
Level Adjustment: +2.

Here're my suggestions:
Bugbears (Background)
• Ability Adjustments: +1 Strength, –1 Charisma
• Bonus Feats: Armor Training, Night Vision, Weapon Training
• Favored Feats: Sneak Attack, Tough
Combat progression: Expert (3)
Magic progression: None (0)
Skill ranks: 2 + Int (0.5)
Saves: Poor Fort, Good Reflex, Poor Will (1.16)
Feats: One every three levels (0.33)
Abilities: One every six levels (0.33)
Special: Level 1: +1 Dexterity, +2 racial bonus to Stealth (~2) Level 2: +1 Constitution, +2 racial bonus to Stealth (~2) Level 3: +1 Strength, Armor Training (~2)

I'm not sure where that "(2)" is coming from, since +1 to an ability score should be 2 points by itself. Looks like the first two should be 2.5 each, and the 3rd should be 3.
Anyway, what's the point of adding up saves for a 1st level character? Or are you defining Bugbear as a monster role, which can be amplified with character roles also?

Right, I'm defining "bugbears" as a humanoid role that needs to be taken for three levels to match the SRD version.
I estimated the "special" bonuses as 2 points (2.16, actually) because the attribute and skill bonuses were assigned rather than selected by the player.

Oh, so those three bonuses are for three distinct levels? I see.

I've (hopefully) edited my original post for clarity.
