He technically can't have Self-Shaping without 12 ranks in Body Control, but I'm not going to nitpick a cartoon character.

Greetings, everyone! I just happened upon this thread while searching Google for some True20 Thundarr the Barbarian stuff. Then, I got sidetracked reading all the awesome stuff here. :D

I'll go ahead and throw my name in the hat and say that I'll be working on and posting:

Buck Rogers
The 80s TV series, "You guys fightin' or dancin'?" version. I'll probably throw in Wilma Deering too, unless you guys had rather hear the ominous sounds of "bidibidibidi..."

Flash Gordon
IMO, the 70's Filmation animated series was very true to much of the original material, and I can't recommend it enough if you ever enjoyed Pulp Sci-fi. Since I've already got stats for Ming the Merciless, his Gold Men minions, and several of the ships featured in the series (all made awhile back as an experiment with the Companion) around here somewhere, I'll probably go ahead and add Princess Aura, Dale Arden, Hans Zarkov, Prince Barin and others, as well. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of this series.

Cliff Secord (The Rocketeer)
Along with the Phantom and the Shadow, the Rocketeer is another great Pulp-style hero.

John Steed and Emma Peel
No, not from that terrible movie, but from the original series. I think I'm one of the biggest American fans of the Avengers (in fact, no one I know personally had ever heard of it before I introduced them, which is kind of odd), and will be more than happy to clear Steed and Mrs. Peel from True20chick's list. :D

POSSESSIONS:
Pipe, Pipeweed, Flint and Steel, Hat, Robes plus following;

Glamdring "Foehammer" or "Beater": Glamdring is a +3 Elvish Sword. It glows blue when in the presence of Orcs, bright if within 100', Faint if within 250' and Dim if within 500'. Any Orc wounded by Glamdring must make a DC 15 foritude Save or be slain outright. This is a death effect.

Narya (The Ring of Fire): Narya is one of the three Elven Rings created by Celebrimbor. Narya grants a bonus of +2 on all Toughness checks. As the ring of passion, Narya grants a bonus of +10 on all Interaction rolls, and a bonus of +10 on all Element (Fire) powers. The wearer does not suffer fatigue when using any Element (Fire), and does not have to concentrate to maintain powers, maintaining an Element (Fire) power is a free action. In addition, as a Ring of Power, Narya allows the wearer to gain 3 Conviction per day rather than the normal 1.

Staff: Though it appears an ordinary walking stick, the staves of each Istari is a spiritual link for them to Valinor. As such, it is the most powerful item and most important item carried by each of the Istari when they travel back to Middle Earth. The Staff is the link for each Istari to their true power, if it is sundered, then the Istari loses all levels of Outsider as their spirit becomes trapped in the mortal flesh of man. Only another Ainur (Valar or Maiar) may sunder a Wizard's Staff.

Shadowfax: Though not truly a possession, Shadowfax is a true companion of Gandalf. Chief of the Mearas of the Rohirrim, Shadowfax is a supremely intelligent, powerful and majestic horse.
    Type: 10th-level Supernatural Beast
    Size: Large
    Speed: 80'
    Abilities: Str +5, Dex +2, Con +10, Int –2, Wis +2, Cha +0
    Skills: Notice 13 (+15)
Feats: Endurance, Run, Improved Speed, Improved Speed
Traits: Dark Vision 60', Nightvision, Prescience, Fearless, Tireless
    Combat: Attack +11 (+10 base, +2 Dex, –1 size), Damage +5 (hoof), Dodge 21 (+10 base, +2 Dex, –1 size), Initiative +2
Saving Throws: Toughness +12, Fortitude +17, Reflex +9, Will +5

Prescience: Shadowfax knows when and where he is needed. Regardless of where he is in Middle Earth, he will travel to meet Gandalf and arrive only seconds after he is called.
Fearless: As a Mearas, Shadowfax is immune to all fear effects.
Tireless: Shadowfax does not tire as easily as other mortal beasts, he may move at All Out speed for 10 minutes plus twice his CON (30 minutes), before having to make CON checks. After that period, he only has to make CON checks every 5 minutes rather than every round.

Background:
Maiar (lesser Ainur):
Type: Maiar type is like Outsider without Darkvision. They do have a spirit "soul", and if they are slain, the spirit visits the Halls of Mandos and can only be brought back via direct intervention of the Valar or of Eru Ilúvatar.
Abilities: +2 CON, +2 INT, +2 WIS, +1 CHA
Bonus Feats: Night Vision, Armour Training (Light), Armour Training (Heavy), Weapon Training
Favoured Feats: Any 2 of Skill Mastery, Subtle Power, Diehard, Fascinate
Traits: Damage Reduction 3/Supernatural
Level Lag: +3

 Gandalf is a +10 Starting Character.
 Though Gandalf has many powers and access to more through his Core Ability, he was restricted in what he could use as he and the other Istari were to remain hidden from the Agents of Sauron. When directly opposing Agents of Sauron or Sauron himself, the Power Rank of any power used is doubled and the Save DC increases by +10.
 Gandalf's Favoured Feats from his Maiar Background are Subtle Power, Diehard
 I extrapolated the pattern for conviction to give Gandalf the Conviction of a 35th level hero.
 Gandalf's skills have had the bonus from Narya added to them already.
 This is designed to be Gandalf at the beginning of the Lord of the Rings, though incredibly powerful as a divine being from Valinor, he had to constantly hide his true nature, for the spies of the Enemy were everywhere.

If this thread wasn't explicitly "True20 goes to the movies", I'd put in a request for the LOTR principals as depicted in The DM of the Rings.

It's not explicitly True20 goes to the movies.

Just for fun, pick any character from any source (movies, books, games, TV shows, plays, etc.) and stat them out using True20.

A man after my own heart. A person with a love for the good stuff. Jake and Emma oh yeah. Buck Rogers you have to do Wilma, Twi'ki and Dr Theopolis. As far as Flash Gordon is concerned I just like to see your write up for Thun.

To be quite honest, my Flash Gordon stuff is liable to turn into a mini-setting for The New Adventures of Flash Gordon, which is something I've always wanted to do, anyway. Now I have a reason! :D

And yes, Thun will also be there.

Caroline Holden (Baywatch, 1995-1998)

You thought it would never happen... yet here it is. Yes, it's Caroline Holden, my favorite Baywatch character (a relatively popular show when I was growing up - plus we lived so far in the boonies we only got 3 channels), aptly played by Yasmine Bleeth. She's a heroic lifeguard, is the sister of Lt. Stephanie Holden, and shares an apartment with her sister and C.J. (Casey Jean) Parker. She also developed a romantic interest in fellow lifeguard, Logan Fowler.

Image

Role: Female human Exp3
Speed: 30 ft.
Abilities: Str +0, Dex+1, Con +1, Int +1, Wis +0, Cha +3
Skills: Acrobatics 3 (+4), Climb 5 (+5), Diplomacy 6 (+9), Gather Information 6 (+9), Knowledge (Current Events) 4 (+5), Knowledge (Marine Biology) 2 (+3), Medicine 3 (+4), Notice 5 (+5), Perform (Baywatch Babe Stuff) 6 (+9), Search 2* (+2), Survival 2* (+2), Swim 6 (+9)
Bonus Feats: Attractive
Favored Feats: Tough
Feats: Challenge (Swim, Rescuing), Challenge (Swim, Accelerated Swim), Connected, Endurance, Affable, Skill Focus (Swim)
Combat: Attack +3 (+2 base, +1 Dex), Damage +0 (unarmed), Defense Dodge/Parry +3/+2 (+2 base, +1 Dex/+0 Str), Initiative +1
Saving Throws: Toughness +1 (+1 Con), Fortitude +2 (+1 base, +1 Con), Reflex +4 (+3 base, +1 Dex), Will +1 (+1 base, +0 Wis)
Virtue: Bold; Vice: Impulsive
Reputation: +1

Creation Notes
 The only house rule used is that any skills marked with an * are considered "cross class" skills as per normal d20 rules and cost double the skill points. Aside from that, Caroline is by the book.
 Caroline's Perform skill is kind of a catch-all that could be used for all sorts of Baywatch adventures, from posing for photo shoots to serving as her 'profession' related skill.
 Not that I don't enjoy all the action heroes that have been posted thus far (actually, I love this thread), I thought Caroline might be a great change of pace. Goofy, yes, but I just wanted to see if it could be done.
