All in all, a refreshing take on this thread, True20Chick, for which this Willie Wonka fan thanks you from the bottom of his heart.
Glad you liked my take on Wonka. I want to go back and do my own description, so consider the Wikipedia desription just a placeholder. Sadly, I've never read the book or its sequel, but I much prefer Gene Wilder's Wonka to Johnny Depp's. Nothing against Depp or Burton per se as I like both, but my memories of the original movie are much to fond to have been impressed with the remake.
In spite of what critics say(they also liked Black Snake Moan , so go figure)the Gene Wilder version of Wonka is much more faithful to the book than Tim Burton's bad-drug trip inspired remake.
Take your pick, Wonka fans, which do you think captured him better, the shuffle and the double somersault at the end, or the demented animatronics singing "Willie Wonka, Willie Wonka" over and over before bursting into flame?

Name: Harry Dresden
Quote “My name is Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden. Conjure by it at your own risk. When things get strange, when what goes bump in the night flicks on the lights, when no one else can help you, give me a call. I'm in the book. “
Concept (Role): Wizard (Adept 7)

Non-Lethal Damage: Bruised (0), Dazed (5+), Staggered (10+), Unconscious (15+)
Lethal Damage: Hurt (0), Wounded (5+), Disabled (10+), Dying (15+), Dead
Fatigue: Winded, Fatigued, Exhausted

Languages: American English, Latin
Weapons: Blaster Rod and Staff
Armor: Shield Bracelet
Possessions: Pentacle (symbol of Harry’s faith in magic given to him by his mother), The Blue Beetle (a blue Volkswagon Beetle with mismatched doors and fenders), magic components.
Distinguishing Features/Mannerisms: Harry projects a slovenly appearance. He prefers to wear a heavy waterproof mantled black duster. This has drawn numerous complaints from Karrin Murphy, Harry’s contact with the Chicago Police Department, for whom he consults on cases involving the Supernatural.
Harry is skilled in Thaumaturgy but less skilled in Evocations.
Background:
Design Notes:• I used the Investigative Background from the True20 Companion to represent Harry’s profession as a Private detective. I switched out the Contacts feat for Connected as I felt this better reflected his character and allows him to be connected to the White Council, CPD, and other connections as needed. I swapped out the favored feats of the Investigative; again because I felt Improved Tools and Master Plan better suited Harry.
• I haven’t provided stats for any of Harry’s supernatural items yet, or finished the supernatural philosophies of Thaumaturgy or Evocation yet. I just wanted to get some info out there.

On a related note, someone at a local game store is actually running a True20 game in the setting of the TV show.

Excellent Dresden, Kendermage. I just started reading Proven Guilty last night, and was considering statting up Harry. You did a much better job.

THanks Mal. I'm not quite through with him yet though. There are still a few things I need to hammer together before I'm fully satisfied the main things being the Thaumaturgy Supernatural Philosophy and the Shield Bracelet.

These are for my brother. He’s not a gamer, but he has been a huge KISS fan ever since he was a kid.
KISS (KISS meets the Phantom of the Park, 1978 )
KISS is a wildly popular heavy-metal band with a bizarre secret. They disguise their faces with painted masks but otherwise make no attempt to conceal their identities, even using their real names while on stage and out in public. Unknown even to most of their fans, the members of KISS have an additional secret: they have superhuman powers. Each one possesses a mystic talisman that provides them with unique powers. When need arises, they use their powers to battle evil and defend mankind.
KISS’ Talismans
The mystic talisman wielded by each member of KISS empowers its wearer with three supernatural powers. The talismans enhance their natural latent magical abilities, and are fuelled by the owner’s own psyche (Charisma). The powers use the owner’s total levels as adept levels for the purposes of determining rank, power bonus, fatigue saves, and save Difficulties. Anyone who tries to touch the talismans other than the rightful owners suffers +2 energy damage per round of contact.

These guys are 8-pointers. Other than that and their “mystic talismans” they are by the RAW.

Note that none of them have Perform (Acting). If you’ve seen the above-mentioned movie, you’d know why.

Sure was. But it has a special place in my heart. I saw it at a young impressionable age and for a while I was convinced they really did have those super powers...

My brother and I taped that movie with a cassette player so we could listen to it at the time. We lived in a very rural area and the two of us and two of our neighbors after chores would put our makeup on and go out to one of the barns and "perform" some great air KISS concerts!
Thanks for reminding me about it and now I have to see if I can get that damn thing on CD and send it to my brother!!
EDIT: Alas no, you cannot get it on DVD and VHS copies are hard to find....
Excelsior!

Love the KISS builds. So sweet.
The idea that Paul Stanley has the Attractive feat kinda makes me vomit in my mouth a little.
A good enemy for these guys would be the vile monster band GWAR.

Or the anti-KISS band, Angel?
Speaking of Paul Stanley, Gene and he should both have the Egotistical vice.

Ordinarily, I'd agree. He does nothing for me. He was supposed to be the sexy, seductive "star child" type in the film, so I thought it appropriate. William1968 wrote:Speaking of Paul Stanley, Gene and he should both have the Egotistical vice.
True, for their "real world" stats perhaps. But, these builds were about their personae in the film (lame as it was) and not reality.

Even though I have only seen the Phantom movie once, when I was 15, I do know why you would give Star Child the attractive feat. Paul Stanley always has that pouty lipped "magnum" look of Zoolander's.
