Roll Call Forum, like MnM? I mention forum instead of thread because I would love to see a full forum with individual threads with possibly settings or genres underneath that. Let people, like myself, who have no gaming group and want to build characters go googly with creative PCs and NPCs that GMs can pull from for those chance encounters or BBEG character.

Just throwing this out there for deliberation,

Best,

I second this motion. That part of the MnM forum is fun because of the different ways to build characters. But moreso, it is a great resource to have a character's statted-out that you could plug into a game or use as templates for creating a similar character.

Not having ever been to the MnM forums, can you explain this a little more? I'm curious.

I started something along those lines.

Ironically my inspiration was also MnM's Roll Call forum. I think it's a god idea.

The Role Call is two-fold. It provides a place to post original characters (complete w. stats, feats, powers, and abilities) and bounce ideas about those character concepts off of other players. Secondly, but not least, some players have modeled their own versions of popular superheros, such as Batman, Spiderman, the X-Men, and so forth. This can be a great resource for GMs wanting to use those characters in their game or make original characters that are similar in concept. The wide-open structure of M&M makes it pretty interesting to see the different approaches to creating the same character.

We could do the same thing with T20 and post statted-out impressions of action heroes such as Jason Bourne, Indiana Jones, Martin Riggs, Ethan Hunt, John McClane, James Bond (several different versions there...), Connor MacLeod, Riddick, and on and on. Of course there are tons of non-action characters to be addressed as well. Nothing is stopping us from doing this now, but it would be cool to have a dedicated section.

We've got a good start here.

If people really want this I can pass along the word and see if SassyRonin can hook us up with a shiny new sub-forum.

Wow! I managed to miss that topic altogether. Yep. I would say that you've already got a pretty good start there. I guess if we just made that a sticky discussion thread, then it's a done deal.

Actually we now have a Roll Call forum. I took the liberty of moving several thread here already so the ball is in your court now.
