Feel like saying "Hi" and inroducing yourself to the rest of the group? Then here is the place to do it. No need cluttering up the forums with 500 new "Hi, my name is...." threads when one will do.
My name is Kendermage. I am a moderator on these fine boards and try to keep the scum of the universe (spammers) from infesting them. I have been a member of these boards for nearly 3 years now and I can honstely say it is one of the friendlier places I have discovered to chat with those of like mind.
If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM. I check in at least several times per day so likely the longest you'll have to wait for a response is a couple of hours. If I don't know the answer I will forward it to someone who can answer it.
Also some advice to newbies. If you have a question about something try using the "Search" function of the boards to see if the question has already beeen asked (and answered) by someone else. This keeps us from having 80 topics all about the same thing. You can search by thread or post, personally I recommend by post as I have had better luck finding what I'm looking for, but to each his own.
That said, Welcome to the True20 Adventure Roleplaying forums.

Hi. My name is Jason (Jaysin1414). I've played a fair number of RPG rules systems, but I've been long searching for that perfect blend of complexity matched with ease of use. I know that sounds oxymoronic, but I always felt like there was a game out there that didn't get caught up in the weeds of minutia, but was still able to handle a great number of situations. I first tried Savage Worlds to try to scratch that itch, but found that in actual play it was tilted WAY too far towards miniatures and tactical play for my tastes. I then picked up True20. I've since bought the Blood Throne pdfs, Imperial Age pdf and I'm looking to find a review of Dino-Pirates and the Island as their next on my radar.... Simply put...I'm loving this system so far. My first game running it is in 2 weeks (I'm using an old D20 corebook (MotRD) as my universe to roughly simulate my old Savage Worlds "Rippers" game. I haven't been this pumped to run a new game in a LONG time... Anyway, I'd like to thank the members here that have been very welcoming and quick to answer this newbie's questions. Thanks!

Hello all
I too have only recently discovered the True20 system but I am already hooked. I have been gaming since high school and have played nearly every system out there as well as many homebrew systems of all kinds.
I came over to True20 after trying for several months to get the feel for a setting using both 4th Ed. and SW as a system and was dissapointed by both. SW was far to simplistic for my needs and 4th Ed.is...well 4th edition. Although I was able to run a successful 4th edition campaign using typical fantasy conventions it was a true struggle.
Sadly with my move across country my group has gone kaput. Now the only gaming work I get to do is writing of my setting and reading these forums. Hopefully that will change with time and by then I will have plenty of notes to run with.
My ultimate goal is to continue to create my own setting that will finally fill my creative needs and to that end eventually self-publish said setting for others to enjoy.

Howdy. So apparently I've been a member since 2003, but my first post was in 2006, when I first came across True20. I've been playing RPGs for almost 20 years now. I've played a wide variety of systems, from Marvel Superheros to Shadowrun, White Wolf products, and D&D. I too have been, along with a number of like-minded individuals, working on an original fantasy setting.
I'm making my first attempt at a campaign using True20.

This forum is one of the politest and most helpful I've come across. The best way to help is to just jump in and start asking questions and proposing ideas. Just take the time for a quick search to see if the questions have already been answered.
Just checked and I have been here for 4 years. wow....time really flies by whith True20!

Hi guys, I'm Ragwaine (or Shane when I'm not rpging or online). I've been gaming over 30 years and I love True 20 (and Blue Rose). Just got sick of combat taking forever.
Working on a campaign setting using True 20 with an artist friend of mine. When we get closer to releasing it will post some info.
These boards are great. I've had many questions answered here.

Although not all that new on the boards I figure I might as well throw in an Intro.
Been on the boards and lurked a while before that. Iv been a GM for about, um... a while lets just say. I count true20 as one of my favorite toolbox/generic systems. Been running it for a while now. I run a lot of different systems so I come around to games in cycles. Good ones come back into the mix while ones I no longer like get shelved. True20 is in permanent rotation. Games ive ran with it so far is freeport, Interface zero, Darwin's world, Agents of Oblivion, Rippers, and a few home brew or kitchen sink settings.
Im a bit of a green ronin fan boy, M&M and freeport. Getting dragon age this week and even picked up song and ice and fire just to buy it.
Gamers are the only people I know that can brag about things they pretend they did.

Hi everyone,
My name is Renato, I'm a Player and GM from Brazil, I found out about True20 in a kind of research about Green Ronin and Steve Kenson, about 2 years ago M&M Second Edition was published in portuguese and I simply fell in love with game, so I wanted to know more about the company and the author.
I got curious about the game and bought it, unfortunately I still didn't have the opportunity to play or narrate a game in the system, but I'm looking forward to do it.
By the way, sorry if I misspelled something or if I seemed too formal, although I'm a little used to English it's not my native language.

Welcome to the forum. We'll try to be friendly and helpful.
Good luck putting together a table of players. It can be trying at times, but I've always found it worthwhile.

Hello, all, I've been a lurker of this board for what feels like forever, and a True20 fan ever since reading the old Blue Rose book something like five years ago. True20 and it's family (i.e. variants of it and M&M) is my favorite system to develop and play with, including my own variant which I've been working on for the past few years. This board has been very helpful in that process at various point, and I keep wishing I could bring some of that into discussion, so here I am.

Ive been a RPG'er since the early nineties, with the days of D&D and cyberpunk. I come from the UK, and would often spend hours browsing Games workshop for the latest RPG.
One of my old time favourites I think it was cool blood brawl (im sure someone will correct me). It was like american football with traps (spikes, footballs that turned into bombs) etc.
Good to see the gaming industry is still going strong.
Kind Regards Neil

Hello everyone, I have been back into playing D&D for about 3-4 years now, although I did play some in high school... I really enjoy D&D 3.5 in many ways but it is quite restrivctive and rules-heavy, and so I was looking for a system that would allow the story to be told much more smoothly. True20 was suggested to me, and I am really excited about what I have read. I have a lot of ideas percolating in my head from my efforts to de-emphasize numbers in 3.5, and many more from reading these forums over the past few days. I realize true20 is now much more than just a 3.5 system, and I like what I see (well, mostly ) Looking forward to buying the book soon and (hopefully) convincing my stubborn group to try it! Edit: Even though I didn't play for about a decade, I was still very much reading about gaming and RPGs. None of the non-D&D RPGs ever sounded interesting to me until I ran across True20 though Andrea
Dave Arneson, on DMing: I was a little naive when we started playing Blackmoor (in 1971), I thought, as a GM, "I will be in control of the situation... I'm the referee!" Ha! Right...
